Faroe Island DXpedition - EU-018

Luise, DL2MLU, Dzianis, DD1LD, Toby, DD5FZ, Wolfgang, DK7MCX, and Ben, DL6RAI, were expected to have arrived on the most southern island of the Faroes Suduroy
(LH 0990, FAR-001) on July 7th and put up a HF station plus 50 MHz in the town of Porkeri.

For most of the participants this is the first DXpedition of their life. Porkeri has mountains to the West and is only good for QSOs in Eastern directions so a second QTH will be put up in Sumba (a little more to the South).

Both stations will be active on all HF bands (6m only in Porkeri). Due to the midsummer sun they do not expect to make some QSOs on 160m - they have twilight between
2200 and 0300 UTC.

Operation is planned as OY/homecalls in SSB, CW, RTTY and digital modes and is scheduled until Jul 16 (including the
IARU Contest on Jul 12/13).
