Dorset D-STAR - GB7MM switch on

The new Dorset 2 metre D-STAR repeater GB7MM will be switched on today Wednesday 9th July at 1800UTC.

In an email on the dstar-uk Yahoo group Kevin says:

Hi All

We've been busy aligning and testing and are happy that we have optimim performance from our ex-PMR cavities. Isolation is very good indeed for four cavities at ~80dB for both RX and TX.

As a result of this work I am pleased to announce that we will be putting GB7MM on air Wednesday (09 July 2008 at 1800UTC).

If you are in range, hope to work you via GB7MM very soon.

For further news please see the repeater website at http://www.monitoringmonthly.co.uk/GB7MM

Once we are happy with the performance from the site we will be activating the Gateway.

See you on RV56
