Live EUMETCast Imaging at 'Satellite Weekend'

The Group for Earth Observation (GEO) will be demonstrating live EUMETCast imaging during the AMSAT-UK 'Satellite Weekend' July 25-27th. The event is open to all.

GEO is the Independent Organisation for Weather Satellite and Earth Observation Enthusiasts and their live EUMETCast demonstration throughout the weekend is sure to attract much interest.

In addition David Taylor GM8ARV of GEO will be giving a presentation at 2:20 pm on Sunday covering EUMETCast, APT and HRPT.

This, like the other presentations during the weekend, will be streamed via the Internet to a worldwide audience. Thanks to the British Amateur Television Club (BATC) the presentations can be viewed free at http://www.batc.tv/

New for 2008, it has been arranged with the University for "walkin" day visitors for £10 per day. For this, you do not get any meals, only attendance at lectures/beginners sessions. It does not entitle you to any other of the functions. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
