Clockwork radio inventor hits out at Mugabe’s radio banInventor Trevor Baylis has hit out at the 'horrible cruelty' of Robert Mugabe in banning Zimbabweans from using his wind-up radio. The man credited with changing the lives of thousands of Africans with the clockwork radio said he only found out about the Zimbabwean President’s crackdown on independent media from a friend. “I was absolutely shocked and appalled,” said the 71-year-old from Twickenham.
