New REF President signals higher international profile

The new REF President Betty Magnin F6IOC says the society should be more active at an international level.

Betty F6IOC says REF must be more active at the international level and play a full part at the IARU Region 1 Conference to be held at Cavtat, Croatia in November. She raises the prospect that REF will apply to become the host for the next IARU Region 1 conference scheduled for 2011.

Her editorial notes that REF must maintain and strengthen its relationship with the French regulator ANFR.

Betty F6IOC was elected REF president on 11th May and is believed to be the first woman to become REF President.
