2 GHz mobile satellite - Terrestrial Mobile Networks

The UK regulator Ofcom has published its statement on the authorisation of terrestrial mobile networks complementary to 2 GHz mobile satellite systems, also referred to as Complementary Ground Components (CGC).

The statement details the terms and conditions for authorisation of CGC and Ofcom’s decision to grant authorisation by means of spectrum access licences.
