Falcon 1 successfully launches RazakSATThe SpaceX Falcon1 rocket successfully launched the RazakSAT satellite on Tuesday. Two nanosats, CubeSAT and InnoSAT, which had been scheduled for this launch were deferred to a later launch opportunity. SpaceX is a recent entry into the space launch business and Tuesday's launch marks another success. The company are developing three launch vehicles, Falcon 1 designed for Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Falcon 9 which can reach Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) and Falcon 9 Heavy which can deliver up to 12,000 kg into GTO. The first launch of Falcon 9 is currently scheduled towards the end of 2009.
