Amateur Radio callsign files removed from Ofcom website

Up until Thursday afternoon .CSV files containing UK Amateur Radio callsigns, names and addresses had been available on the Ofcom website, but they now seem to have been removed.

Although the database files were not directly linked from any current Ofcom webpage they had shown up when people did a Google search on their callsign.

The CSV files were on this page
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radiocomms/ifi/licensing/
classes/amateur/callbook/

There were a number of CSV files available containing the 60,000 UK callsigns broken down into categories such as

callsigns_full-england-M.csv
and
callsigns_full-england-G3-4.csv

The files appeared to be over a year old.

Up-to-date callsign information is available in the G3ZHI UK Callbook which can be downloaded from
http://www.qsl.net/g3zhi/cb1.html

The file is in compressed .RAR format and can be uncompressed to an Excel .CSV file using free utilities such as 7-Zip.
