Ofcom announces new members to its Spectrum Advisory BoardOn Tuesday the UK regulator Ofcom announced four new members to its Spectrum Advisory Board (OSAB) The four new members are: Linda Doyle an Associate Professor in Trinity College, University of Dublin in the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. Philip Marnick currently Chief Technology Officer of SpinVox, a speech technology company. He has spent over twenty years working in the wireless communications industry. Prior to joining SpinVox, he held senior operational and strategic executive positions at O2, BT, Orange, J-Phone, Japan (now Softbank mobile) and Extreme Mobile. David Meyer who has been an officer within the British Army’s Royal Corps of Signals since 1979. He has held posts including command of military units delivering operational information systems and services and a variety of office-based staff posts responsible for policy, procurement, operations, signals intelligence and computer network defence. He is currently the Deputy Chief Information Officer in the Ministry of Defence in London, and is responsible for a range of operational information services. Gavin Young Chief Architect for Access within Cable & Wireless (C&W). Following a range of Access technology leadership roles within BT, Gavin joined AdEvia in 2000 where as Chief Technology Officer he led the design of pan-European broadband networks. He then moved to Bulldog Communications (later acquired by C&W) where he held a variety of responsibilities from product development through to network operations and Chief Technology Officer.
