Honour given to 'UK astronauts'The BBC reports that 5 'UK astronauts' are being honoured. Four of the five listed by the BBC have held Amateur Radio licenses. The British Interplanetary Society (BIS) is making the award to recognise the astronauts' achievements but also to further the case for human spaceflight. The five UK-born individuals are : Helen Sharman and Richard Garriott were given their pins in a ceremony at the British Interplanetary Society (BIS) headquarters in London.
