Naval students to build NPS-SCAT CubeSat

Students at the US Naval Postgraduate School are building an Amateur Radio CubeSat NPS-SCAT that will operate on 435 MHz and 2.4 GHz.

The primary mission of NPS-SCAT is to test solar cells and it hoped to launch into a Sun Synchronous Orbit 600km orbit from the Marshall Islands.

The Electrical Power Subsystem for the CubeSat is being supplied by the UK company Clyde Space based in Glasgow.
