Powerline Communications for LED lighting control

In an article in EE Times Jeff Hushley and Rohan Gandhi, Cypress Semiconductor Corp., explains how the standard powerline can be adapted to control the attributes of many independent LED-based lighting fixtures.

The proposed use of Powerline Communications (PLC) in LED lighting is a worrying development as the pollution produced by existing PLC products ruins many peoples' enjoyment of their favourite radio show.
