WIA responds to ACA The WIA response to the Australian Communications Authority discussion
paper entitled "The management of Interference from Broadband over
Power Line Applications" has been submitted to the ACA and also published
on the The WIA submission replies to specific questions asked in the ACA discussion paper including: the likely effects of BPL interference to the amateur service Some clubs have expressed a desire to forward their own submission to the ACA. The WIA board believes that an alternative course of action for those clubs who wish to make a submission, but have not already done so, would be to submit a letter to the ACA supporting the WIA submission. (This also applies to INDIVIDUAL AMATEURS!.. says Secretary VK2ZDD) The ACA have indicated they will accept supporting letters for a short time after the closing date for submissions. Clubs have sufficient time to review the published WIA submission and forward their comments to the ACA. The WIA submission can be viewed on the WIA website at www.wia.org.au The WIA board is very appreciative of the efforts of Roger Harrison and Keith Malcolm in the preparation of the submission.
