GB5HQ needs your help

GB5HQ will again be active as a nationwide multi-mode multi-location operation during the 2005 IARU HF World Championship contest from 1200UTC on 9 July to 1200 on 10 July.

GB5HQ is the RSGB Headquarters station and will be made up of 12 stations in 10 locations around the country, operating simultaneously on both SSB and CW on 160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m. The aim for GB5HQ is to win the world headquarters section.

The organisers of the GB5HQ entry have asked every UK station to help by calling and working GB5HQ on as many bands as possible, and also on both modes.

Please get in touch with your club members, ‘rag-chew operator’s and VHF operators, and ask them all to support GB5HQ. There is a free GB5HQ award programme for working the station on a minimum of three, six, nine or all 12 band-mode slots. Further details are on the GB5HQ website.
