Kirkwall Grammar School signing as GB0KGS

Kirkwall Grammar School in the Orkney Islands will be on air as GB0KGS on 1, 2 and 3 June.

This is part of the school's annual end-of-year activities days, where pupils get to sample extracurricular activities they may not have tried before.

The station will be open to members of the public, and all are welcome, including radio amateurs who would like to assist in running the station. Some pupils will get their first taste of amateur radio and a number of Foundation licensees who obtained their licence through the school will also help to run the station.

GB0KGS will be operating on bands from 80 to 17 metres. Further information can be obtained from robert.duncan<no spam>@orkneyschools.org.uk
