Military Appreciation Day - follow-up
A big thank you to the ham radio community is coming from Emery McClendon, KB9IBW. This for your support of the recent Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day. According to Emery, over 6,100 people stopped by the primary location in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on May 28th. Several were uniformed members of the Army, and an Air Force Readiness Group was on location to greet our crowd and respond by radio to locations around the globe. Contacts were made with troops in Iraq from Ft. Wayne's Memorial Stadium with many people from locations around the USA and world expressing their greetings as well.
