Radio activity by scouts in Suffolk

The following from Peter G8BLS. It's good to see newly licenced Scouts actively promoting the hobby. Keep a listen out for them this weekend and give them a call.

Hi All.

Three of our local Radio Scouts are camping this weekend, not sure of activity times but keep a listen out for M3IAT, M3LSQ and M3IBZ /P. they will be running 10 watts and a multi-band inverted V at present cut for 80, 40 and 20m but
they may modify it for 17m as well if they get time. Their QTH is in East Suffolk quite close to the East Coast of the UK.

They are demonstrating Amateur Radio to their fellow Scouts, there will be no licensed adults on site.

They intend to be on the net on Saturday morning, I will probably not be on as I am programmed to be going out about 09-00, but may just be on for a few minutes only.

The net the Scouts will be calling into starts at 09:00 local time on Saturday on 3.740 MHz + QRM

Listen out for Les G3BHK (the inventor of JOTA) Alan G3WNS, John 2E0HEA, Geoff G4UEL, Peter G3UWR, Malcolm G4CXT etc

There may be another post from them but I thought I would put this up in case they run out of time.
