Swedish VLF transmitter on-air

The old Alexanderson alternator transmitter on 17.2kHz at Grimeton in Sweden will be transmitting once again on 2 and 3 July.

The transmission on 2 July will be at 1230 UTC when a new visitor’s centre will be inaugurated.

Sunday 3 July is ‘Alexanderson Day’ and the station will be open to the general public between 10.00am and 4.00pm local time. The transmissions on 3 July will take place at 0815, 0915, 1215 and 1315UTC.

In addition, SK6SAQ will be operating from the site around 14035kHz CW and 3755 and 14215kHz SSB
