WIA Official MultiBand DXCC Program releasedThe WIA's Multiband DXCC Program was officially released last Wednesday the 1st June. The brief details and sample coloured certificates have been included in this month's Amateur Radio Magazine. We have taken into consideration many views and comments from the helping DX review group. Extra donations have been received from the closing VK6 Divisional Council and some DX members. This has allowed me to introduce two classes of 5BDXCC Certificates and the advancement of the WIA DXer of the year Awards. Our second 5 band DXCC Certificate is titled the Premier
Award, it includes a 5 band selection of the 11 current approved bands
and much different from the Traditional Classic Award that has a fixed
selection of 10, 15, 20, 40 & The W.I.A. DXer of the year awards are for 3 and 5 Band classes, awarded annually to Australian and Overseas participants where applicable. The closing date for these awards will be 31st. December each year. It can only be awarded to the same person once in every 3 years and all awards will be judged on performance, participation and sprit towards the W.I.A. MultiBand DXCC Program. Certificates: All of these special awards will be approved by the National Board of Directors, signed by the W.I.A. President and endorsed by the Awards Manager. W.I.A. Awards Program, what an exciting package for our future. The certificates and award labels are really something, I am so proud of it all, delivering this to our members, it results from a year of hard work and coordination making this successful. Our invitation is now open to apply for these awards, as mentioned previously, get all those qsls out and send us your application. I must take time to repeat myself. Thanks go to our progressive National Board, our major financial sponsor VK Classifieds, members contributions, our review group, VK6ZLZ for the new Awards website and update, making this MultiBand DXCC program World Class, right here in our own back yard. REMEMBER, by joining our National WIA, the awards are free to all members!! Please enjoy your DXing, be very proud of your achievements and display your awards with pride.
