Hong Kong radio hosts suspended over 'assault-a-celebrity' pollA Hong Kong radio station said Thursday it is suspending its two hosts and their show after it featured an online vote on which female celebrity listeners would like to indecently assault. In a statement, Commercial Radio said it has suspended the "So Fab"
show and its hosts Kitty Yuen and Sammy Leung for two months starting
from next Monday. They are also banned from taking up any freelance work
during the period. Last week, listeners were asked to choose from a list of 20 female Chinese stars who they would most like to assault. The poll drew condemnation from women's groups across the territory saying it encouraged violence against women. The Broadcasting Authority has received at least 68 complaints against the show and will hold a special meeting next week to discuss the programme.
