Big Brother's amateur radio star switches on new Sussex radio station
Radio amateur and Star of Big Brother 6 (UK), Eugene Sully
G0VIQ, has officially switched on the new digital radio
station for Sussex.
Broadcasting to a potential 715,000 listeners across the South Coast
of England, the station is one of only a handful of independently-owned
DAB services in the UK.
Following 5 years on-air as an internet station, and a successful trial
FM broadcast during May, the station is now available on DAB Digital Radio
from Chichester through to Hastings playing a mix of classic and new dance
and party tunes alongside travel, news and information for Sussex.
Alongside Eugene, who presents a Sunday Morning show, the schedule also
boasts dance stars Graham Gold, Matt Darey, Adam H and the popular Hed
Kandi radio show.
Managing Director, Simon Hardwick said: “DAB is very exciting -
digital radio is the future, but so far DAB has only offered existing
FM stations or computer programmed jukeboxes. We’re here to change
that with an exciting presenter line-up and locally focussed programming
- A real reason to spend that £30 on a new DAB digital radio! ”
Former Kiss 100 presenter Graham Gold joins the station as part of the
Friday Night line-up. He said “I moved out of London and into the
Sussex countryside to find inspiration for producing, so I was really
happy to hear about Passion Radio because there just isn’t anything
like it down this way.”
You can listen online from anywhere in the world at the station’s
website on www.passionradio.co.uk
