Ofcom fines Kiss FM Radio Ltd

UK regulator Ofcom has fined Kiss FM Radio Ltd (a London FM radio licensee wholly owned by EMAP plc) a total of £175,000 for numerous and serious breaches of Ofcom's codes.

This is the largest financial penalty ever imposed on a commercial radio station in the UK.

The sanction includes Ofcom's first penalty to be imposed on any broadcaster for a serious breach of fairness and privacy rules.
