New Societies and many International Guests
18,100 visitors, 207 exhibitors and over 30 national Amateur Radio Societies
attended the Messe Friedrichshafen for this year's HAM RADIO.
Ireland, Spain and the United Arab Emirates were three new societies
on the Amateur Radio exhibition.
In its jubilee year, the Irish national society IRTS
was presented itself at the Lake Constance for the first time ever. "The
Flair, the atmosphere and the many contacts in particular were very important
for us", said Fionbarra Buachalla, EI1CS,
president of the society.
"The HAM RADIO is also much more international than for example
the Hamvention in Dayton", he continued. "Even the flea market
was much larger and offered a broader spectrum than the market in Ohio."
