Raynet VHF frequencies for Royal International Air Tattoo

Gloucester County RAYNET Team has now received clearance for the use of two VHF frequencies during their support for the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford on 10, 12, 14 and 15 July.

The choice of working frequencies at any operational RAF base has always been agreed with MoD to avoid any possibility of interference with vital communications traffic. This year, Gloucestershire has been allocated 144.650 voice and 144.625 data.

They intend to use directional antennas to try to minimise problems for other RAYNET Groups working in the area, but advise that they will not be allowed to QSY in the event of co-channel interference and ask for the cooperation and understanding of other groups in their choice of working frequencies.
