Rainer, DJ9BV - Silent Key

Reg, G8VHI has told us of the sad news that a well-known VHF radio ham has lost a long battle with illness.

Rainer, DJ9BV passed away yesterday. He was well known for his work on VHF aerials and for his DJ9BV Yagi's.

He was in charge of the highly respected VHF Magazine DUBUS until becoming too ill to continue. He was near the top of the 70cms listings, active on modes such as EME.

He published a number of other things such as articles on low noise pre-amps.

He was a wealth of knowledge and will be missed by all VHF'ers
