Greek Lighthouse sees first Amateur Radio activation

Greek radio hams Dimitris SV4AAQ, Katerina SV4AFY, Kostas SV4FFF, Thanasis SV4FFK, Kostas SV4FFL, Panagiotis SV4JYI and George SV4LAX will activate the Trikeri Lighthouse (ARLHS GRE-128) as SY4LH during the first weekend of July (5th and 6th).

Other operators mentioned but only participating for one day out of the two planned days are John SV4FFB, George SV4FFE, John SV4FFI, Sotiris SV4JYK, Nikos SW4JYL and Dimitris SW4LAD.

This is the first time that this lighthouse will be activated for amateur radio purposes. The lighthouse is situated on Point Kavoulia, about a ten-minute hike from the Geroplina
Settlement of Trikeri, in the Gulf of Pagasetikos. Gridsquare: KM19MC.

Activity is expected to be on all bands, 160-2 meters using modes CW, SSB, PSK, RTTY and SSTV. QSL via SV4FFK.
