Martha Stewart denied UK visaMartha Stewart who spoke to Radio Amateurs onboard the International Space Station (ISS) in her television show has been denied a UK visa according to a report in the Telegraph. Martha Stewart is a homemaking expert and popular television personality. During her TV show she spoke to ISS Commander Michael Lopez-Alegria, KE5GTK and Flight Engineer Sunita Williams, KD5PLB both Radio Amateurs who were on the Space Station as part of Expedition 14.
Her friend Charles Simonyi KE7KDP, architect of Microsoft's Word and Excel programs, was also a visitor to the space station. "She has engagements with English companies and business leaders and hopes this can be resolved so that she will be able to visit soon," Charles Koppelman, chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, said in a statement.
