FISTS Down Under Club start new net

The FISTS Down Under Club consists of a group of VK and ZL radio hams dedicated to furthering the use of CW.

FISTS are starting a new net.

While the main idea is to provide a meeting place for members, it is hoped that new non-members and new comers to CW will also attend.

With the latter category of enthusiast in mind it has been decided to have net control on SSB, believing it will encourage those operators still in the nervous stage to check in.

Participants will be paired off in the order they check in and directed to a CW frequency for a chat. It is much like the well known Sunday CW net at 10am EST on 7025kHz except NCS is on SSB.

The net will be held each Wednesday 0930Z, on 3546kHz plus or minus QRM. No one owns a frequency! So, be prepared to tune around, probably upwards.

Anyone looking for further information can ring David Ball on (03) 5756 2084 and he will ring you back immediately, thus minimising your costs.

Please share with him and ideas you may have for the development of the Net.
