New venue for Southgate Amateur Radio Club

For the past 18 years, Southgate Amateur Radio Club has held its meetings at the Winchmore Hill Cricket Club (WHCC).

It is now time for a change and a new venue has been found at the Hazelwood Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, Ridge Avenue, Winchmore Hill London N21.

In future the meetings will be held at 7:30 pm for 8:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month starting from Wednesday September 10th, 2008.

The new venue will offer advantages over the previous one, such as the possibility to erect permanent aerials, both vertical and long-wire, making it easier for us to run more 'Radio on the Air' meetings.

The club is open to both young and old for anyone with an interest in radio or electronics and who would
wish to become a licensed radio amateur at Foundation, Intermediate or Advanced level. Visitors are always
welcome.

If you would like more information about the club and its aims, please contact our chairman David Sharp M0XDS on 01992 422622 or via the 'Contact Us' box on our website.

The map below shows the location of the new venue. Winchmore Hill BR train station is about 15 minute's walk away in Station Road. Bus number 329 from Enfield to Palmers Green and Turnpike Lane passes the venue.
There is ample safe parking.

Enter by lane between letters ‘D’ and ‘G’ of ‘Ridge Avenue’
