Ofcom Business Radio licence reforms

On Monday the UK regulator Ofcom published draft regulations necessary to implement a series of reforms to the Business Radio sector.

Ofcom say these reforms will make Business Radio licences more flexible, extend spectrum trading opportunities to over 40,000 licences and modify the current pricing approach.

Stakeholders are invited to respond to Ofcom on the draft regulations by 10 July 2008.

It is planned to bring the regulations into force in August with subsequent implementation of the changes at the end of this year.
