APRS Live

I wanted to let you know about some exciting new APRS software for ham radio operators - it’s called APRS Live, and it’s an add-on for Depiction mapping, simulation and collaboration software.

Built by a third party developer, APRS Live brings real-time APRS data into Depiction’s mapping and simulation environment from a radio.

Here’s a key quote from Brian Smucker, KF7GDY, the creator of the software:
“The ability to receive APRS data in real time via radio, and to visualize it using the advanced tools that Depiction provides is a powerful new capability. Now hams can do things that used to only be available to big corporations and large government agencies.” We think that’s pretty cool.
