Bicentenary of Chile Contest
OBJECTIVES
Encourage, promote and stimulate the activity of the hobby of amateur radio in the HF bands and
achieve massive participation of them in a contest created as part of the celebration of the
bicentennial of Chile.

It starts on June 19, 2010 at 16.00 hrs. UTC and ends on November 30, 2010 at 23.59 hrs. UTC.

• Chilean and foreign amateur radio stations.
• Chilean and foreign radio clubs.
• Chilean and foreign amateur radio circles.
BANDS AND MODES
All bands and all modes.
CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPATION
0BW3BPCG (Worked 3 Bands)
The amateur radio station participant must show that they have contacted the 3G200PCG official
station in the bands of 80, 40 and 10 metes in any modes, and two stations in either wild bands 80,
40 and 10 meters in any way.
IMPORTANT: Participation in this category is only valid for Chilean amateur stations category
Aspirants and Novices.
1BW5BPCG (Worked 5 Bands)
All Chilean and foreign participants must show that they have contacted the official station
3G200PCG in bands 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters in either mode.
2BW6BPCG (Worked 6 Bands)
All Chilean and foreign participants must show that they have contacted the official station
3G200PCG in bands 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 and 160 or 6 meters in either mode
W9BPCG (Worked 9 Bands)
All Chilean and foreign participants must show that they have contacted the official station
3G200PCG in bands 160, 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meters in either mode.
WILD CARD
The amateur participant may use a wildcard by a replace one-time contact with the official station in
a missing band. To this end, during the period of this contest, there will be stations previously
validated in the air to act as a wildcard. The validated list of stations will be part of the competition
rules and will be published on the website http://www.cpdxg.cl
AWARDS
DIPLOMA OF HONOR
All amateur radio stations that comply with the requirements of the W5BPCG category and have
sent the application form for the award, will receive a Diploma of Honor alluding to the event.
DIPLOMA OF HONOR WITH DISTINCTION
All amateur radio stations that comply with the requirements of the W3BPCG and W6BPCG
categories and have sent the application form for the award, will receive a Diploma of Honor
alluding to the event with a Special Distinction.
HIGHEST DISTINCTION
All amateur radio stations that comply with the requirements of the W9BPCG category and have
sent the application form for the award, will receive a Medal of Merit and a Diploma of Honor
alluding to the event.
REQUEST FOR DIPLOMA
To qualify for the Diploma of Honor in any of its categories, the amateur radio participant must
submit at least one (1) QSL card addressed to the official station 3G200PCG, confirming the
contact in a band and mode. In addition, the amateur participant must submit a form application
with all data of the participant and indicating the category which postulates. The application form
can be downloaded from the website http://www.cpdxg.cl and may be mailed together with the QSL
cards to:

The application form can also be sent by email to concurso@cpdxg.cl.
Along with the Diploma of Honor, will be sent to each amateur radio participant a special QSL card
alluding to the event confirming the contact. Electronic (eQSL) cards are not accepted. The
maximum date receipt of applications is February 28, 2011.
SHIPPING COST
Foreign stations: U.S. $ 5 or equivalent in local currency.
Chilean stations: U.S. $ 2 or equivalent in local currency.
LOG
The log file of all contacts will be published on the website http://www.cpdxg.cl. This information
may be used by participants to complete the application form.
