CubeSat Shop

CubeSats were pioneered by Radio Amateurs and several small companies have sprung up to supply the parts needed to build them, one company is even developing a CubeSat propulsion system.

The ISIS CubeSatShop sells just about everything needed to build a fully functioning CubeSat and together with the Dutch research institute TNO, ISIS is currently looking into micro-propulsion modules for CubeSats, based on cool gas propellant grains.

A first demonstration of this new technology is planned on the Delfi-n3Xt nanosatellite from Delft University of Technology. A typcial application is the use of the module for orbit phasing for a small constellation of CubeSats.
The key advantage of this system is that the fuel is stored in solid form, which eliminates the issues of launching spacecraft with pressurized tanks.
