He reminds of the "Operation Overlord" which was an operation of the Western Allies in the Second World War, which had the goal of pushing back the German occupiers in Northern France. The Operation Overlord lasted from Jun 6, 1944 (the D-Day), until Aug 25, 1944, when the Allies freed France's capital Paris.
