Rolls Royce Amateur Radio Club - special event station

On 20th June members of Hucknall Rolls Royce Amateur Radio Club are holding a special event station GB5BC, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Brinsley Carnival in Nottinghamshire.

Although the carnival was started in the early 1900’s to raise money to send local villagers to hospital, two world wars prevented the carnival from being run for many years. It was started again in 1960 and has continued to this day, raising thousands of pounds for local good causes

Upwards of 3000 people flock to this event, and we hope many will be interested in the exhibition and live operating being put on by HRRARC members on the carnival field itself.
