GB90MZX in Essex newspaper

The special event station run by the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the historic broadcast by Dame Nellie Melba got some good press coverage.

On Saturday, June 12, a local newspaper sent a reporter to see GB90MZX at the Oaklands museum in Chelmsford and the report has just appeared in the Essex Chronicle newspaper.

The stations on June 12 and 15 were very successful and it is hoped that several of those who visited the stations will be taking the CARS Amateur Radio Foundation course in September.

The Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Marconi Social Club (MASC), Beehive Lane, Great Baddow, Chelmsford, CM2 9RX.
The doors open at 7:10 pm and the meeting gets underway at 7:30 pm. Admittance and car parking are free and a bar is available for refreshments.

CARS run training courses for the Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced amateur radio exams.
