PLT Radio Frequency Interference Report

The UK regulator Ofcom has published a report by the PA Consulting Group on the extent of Radio Frequency Interference from In-Home PLT Devices.

Page 12 notes that:
"PLT devices operate at radio frequencies and can act as unintentional radiators, effectively using the electricity supply wiring as an antenna. There is a significant body of evidence of interference to other HF users including amateur radio users and shortwave broadcasts from PLT devices."

and

"...the project scope explicitly excluded providing specific advice on EMC regulations and their interpretation in relation to PLT."
