ON4VRA begin live video broadcasts

Last Sunday at 10:00 am (local time) our club station came on the air! Not only on 144.775 MHz, but also – as announced - as live video via “Livestream.com”.

After having had trials for a few weeks, today was the premiere of our fortnightly club transmission, which can be followed live from our studio. Just go to the URL: http://www.livestream.com/on4vra

This is a picture (screenshot) of the ‘real live’ transmission. Jules, ON7XM and André, ON7UM are the first anchormen of our club broadcast. Our technical genius Walter, ON8CW, is lurking in the shadows!

The information available to us, told us that at least 22 OM’s followed this transmission. Unfortunately only 10 of them signed in, which allowed them to participate in the chat. We wondered why only these ten viewers felt the need to do so… stage fright??

This first transmission will be analyzed and discussed thoroughly and we will ponder on how to further improve things.
