Wireless spectrum crunch has Feds scrambling

An article by Kenneth Corbin discusses the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) goal of finding 500 MHz of spectrum to allocate for mobile broadband.

One way this could be achieved is by freeing up some of the large swaths of Federal spectrum used by the various departments and agencies.

The Amateur Service is a secondary user of Federal spectrum at UHF and Microwaves.
