23cms Digital ATV - GB3BH Meeting at 8pm onwards 14th March 2006 at The
Swan Public House, Bedmond Road, Pimlico, Hertfordshire, HP3 8SH

Mike Hastings G8ASI and Paul Andrews G6MNJ will be demonstrating the
results they have recently achieved on 23cms DIGITAL ATV - despite the
path being just over a mile they even achieved pictures with just 0.3mW
- yes, you read that right "nought point 3" milliWatts!
The conversation will show by example, an overview of how a Digital TV
picture is formed and what factors affect its quality and robustness over
a noisy path. We hope to encourage other members to contribute their knowledge
of Digital ATV techniques so that by the end of the evening we all leave
with a better understanding of digital ATV and why it could be the answer
to DX TV for the future on 70cms...
So if you know nothing on the subject come along and learn, if you know
something come share it with the rest! We will also let you know of the
upcoming 10Ghz ATV Repeater we are building ...
Either way I am sure you will enjoy the company, the food (finger food
provided - we ask for a small donation towards costs) and of course the
