Jack Gerritsen Sentencing
Hello fellow hams,
According to AUSA Lamar Baker (Federal Prosecutor), Jack Gerritsen's (EX-KG6IRO)
attorney has asked for another 30 day extension. Apparently he is not
ready for the sentencing stage of this case.
Lamar will go to the Roybal Courthouse (downtown Los Angeles) on April
3rd @ 1:30 PM and expects the Judge to grant another 30 day extension.
The court is located at 255 E Temple Street, Los Angeles, California in
Room 850.
You can still go if you would like to see these proceedings, but the word
is that the Judge WILL grant the extension for Jack's Attorney.
Jack got himself an attorney, after representing himself in the Federal
case and was found guilty of the 6 Federal crimes below,
Count 1, U.S. Title 18, Section 1362, Transmit on a Government
Freq; GUILTY
Count 2, U.S. Title 47, Sections 333, 501, Malicious interference; GUILTY
Count 3, U.S. Title 47, Sections 333, 501, Malicious interference; GUILTY
Count 4, U.S. Title 47, Sections 301, 501, Transmitting without a License;
GUILTY
Count 5, U.S. Title 47, Sections 301, 501, Transmitting without a License;
GUILTY
Count 6, U.S. Title 47, Sections 301, 501, Transmitting without a License;
GUILTY
It looks like the next court date for sentencing will be on Wed, May 3,
2006 at the same court. I will know further after the extention is granted.
