GB3GH replacement

Gloucestershire Repeater Group report that the Gloucester 70cm Repeater GB3GH was replaced on Sunday 26th February. The new system uses a rack mounted Tait 800 radio and a new P.I.C based control system designed and built by Steve G4FPV.

Initial tests show improved signals in some parts of Cheltenham, with Stewart G0LGS reporting much better signals on his Kenwood hand-held in Warden Hill, and Glynis M3OAC reporting improved signals around Upton-upon-Severn and Malvern.

The group hope to complete similar work on the 2m repeater GB3CG shortly.

Further details will be published at http://www.grg.org.uk
