Greek Amateurs to be given 4 metre band (70 MHz) allocation

"After many requests from the Greek ham radio community the new national frequency allocation map will be released within the next days.

As noted in the webpages of the Greek HamRadio Association (http://www.raag.org/anns_gr.html#ekkzs) the 4m band will be allocated to the Greek hams on an experimental basis (70,200-70,250 MHz)"


Murray G6JYB fed the above URL into a translator and got this additional information:

After enough years and one big number of letters and representations of E.E.R. in the responsible departments the YPME, in the next days we will have new E.MrMrZ.S (National Regulation of Distribution Areas of frequencies) with
important changes for all the Greeks Radio amateurs. New regions, enlargements old and promise for review each time he is certain from his news characteristically.

New areas:
135,7-137,8 KHz (capital hri'si)
70,200-70,250 MHz (provisional-experimental)
122,25-123,00 GHz (secondary)
136-141 GHz (capital or deyt/sa)

Enlargements old:
1810-1850 KHz (capital hri'si)
3500-3800 KHz (capital)
1240-1300 MHz (secondary)

Removal obligation for co-ordination with YPME:
1240-1260 MHz (secondary)
2300-2450 MHz (secondary)
Anw the 77,5 GHz

Future cession: 7100-7200 KHz (capital, afterwards 1/4/2009)
