International Marconi Day

The 19th International Marconi Day takes place on 22 April. Organised by the Cornish Radio Amateur Club, the event celebrates the life of the man widely credited with being the father of radio.

Although International Marconi Day is not a contest, awards will be made available to stations that operate from a site that either used Marconi equipment prior to his death in 1937 or where Gugliemo Marconi carried out experiments during his lifetime.

To be considered for an award, a station must firstly be registered with the event organisers. You can register by e-mailing your station’s details to webmaster@<no spam>gb4imd.org.uk.
