Monaco 3A - Active on Amateur Radio Satellites Saturday 4th March

This coming Saturday 4th March there will be a rare opportunity to work Monaco via one of the Amateur Radio Satellites.

You should also be able to hear International Space Station Astronaunt Bill McArthur operating NA1SS on 145.800 MHz FM when he has a pre-arranged QSO with the Radio Amateurs in Monaco.

Pass predictions for the satellites can be found at
http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/tools/predict/index.php
and there is a new satellite tracking tool at

Fabio Roccatagliata F5VKV has supplied the following information about the Monaco Dxpedition.

Saturday 4/3/2006 has been scheduled by Nasa in Houston a voice contact with Bill NA1SS to a group of radio hams in Monaco 3A.

Due to the rig setup (4 el. yagi vhf / 10 el. yagi uhf with el./rot.) we will be active later on (mostly on the afternoon / evening passes) on AO51, FO29, VO52, SO50, AO27 (if active).

Hope to give the possibility to contact such rare country on sat to as many hams as possible.

Qsl to homecall:

3A/IZ1DXG
