SARL VHF/UHF ContestThe first leg of the SARL VHF/UHF Contest will take place from 16:00 UTC on Friday 17 March to 16:00 UTC on Saturday 18 March and from 16:01 UTC on Saturday 18 March to 10:00 UTC on Sunday 19 March. This 42-hour contest has been divided into two sessions, one of 24 hours and one of 18 hours. The aim of the contest is to promote activity on the VHF and UHF bands and it is open to all licensed Radio Amateurs in South Africa and neighbouring states. All modes are allowed - FM, SSB, CW and Digital modes. Contacts via Tropo, Meteor Scatter and EME are allowed. The rules are available in the 2006 SARL Contest Manual.
