Another
UK ARDF milestone
The Basingstoke Amateur Radio Club are hosting a RSGB ARDF national event
and plan to offer a full five-fox course on 2m combined with a full five-fox
course for 80m, the first ever in the UK.
The event will take place on the 9th April 2006 at Butterwood, near J5/M3,
South of Hook, Hampshire
A chance to try one or both bands.
For 2m, a FM handy, previously modified and used for foxhunting will
suffice. A very limited number of receivers will be available for loan.
For those requiring a 80m receiver. G3ZOI is offering a new PJ80 ARDF
receiver (as reviewed in February 2006 Rad.Com.) for just £10.99!
The offer only applies whilst stocks last, and is strictly one per person
to those who register at the ARDF event on the day (£5).
The PJ80 will be supplied with batteries and earpiece, but will probably
perform better with your favourite Walkman headphones.
Give your new receiver a stroll around the short 80m woodland course
and taste the excitement of international style ARDF.
