Darwin IRLP node on the move

After nearly 6 years of continuous operation in Darwin, IRLP Node 6800 is on the move.

The node was originally set up by Alan VK8ZAB and
subsequently taken over by Mike VK8ZMA. Darwin now has IRLP Node 6343 through the local Radio Club and Node 6737, another privately sponsored node in the Palmerston region.

Mike and XYL Sharon have moved to Katherine some 300Km SE of Darwin and the node is now operational as of the 25th February 2007 serving the Katherine Region.

The node is on 146.650 simplex, no CTCSS just like it was in Darwin.

All the usual programmes will be broadcast automatically, including WIA news at 0900 hrs local time on Sunday mornings with a repeat at 2000 hrs Sunday evening.

The usual automated callbacks will be operating as well.

The node is also an EchoLink node with the node number of 8913.

Complete operational details are available at the website http://vk8zma.shacknet.nu
