GB75PW
to get first rally airing
This Saturday, Rob will be visiting the South Normanton QRP Rally.
Also known as the Junction 28 Rally, this popular rally takes place annually
in South Normanton, near Alfreton, North Derbyshire. It's an easy location
to get to, being just five minutes' drive from the M1 motorway.
Rob is a regular visitor to this friendly rally, but this year, he has
an additional duty to perform whilst there. With the able assistance of
Ian Brothwell G4EAN, Rob will be giving the GB75PW callsign
its first rally airing.
GB75PW, as you may know, is the special callsign issued to mark the 75th
anniversary of Practical Wireless magazine, of which
Rob is the editor.
Icom
UK Ltd have very kindly loaned an
IC-756PROIII rig especially for the event which, Rob reports, is working
'exceedingly well'.
So, look forward to plenty of activity from GB75PW this
Saturday.
As ever, Rob will have his amateur radio gear in the car for the journey
to Derbyshire.
He will be driving up to Derbyshire on Friday afternoon, and returning
to his QTH in Dorset on Saturday evening, so listen-out for G3XFD/M on
either 70 or 144MHz
