EU - Radio Spectrum Policy Group Meeting

The documents from the meeting on 14th February of the Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG), which advises the EU Commission, have been released.

Among the Community principles and objectives at WRC-07 are listed

• take the utmost account of the desirability of technology neutrality, taking into account convergence

• promote the harmonisation of the use of radio frequencies

• avoid making the use of radio frequencies subject to the grant of individual rights of use where the risk of harmful interference is negligible

Under Reorganisation of HF Bands (A.I. 1.13) they say
"Further HF spectrum for broadcasting will assist the successful uptake of the European DRM digital radio standard."
